Помимо жюри, в аудитории присутствовало 100 гостей максимально допустимое количество слушателей для массовых мероприятий в Швейцарии. Академично, пианистически точно, виртуозно, в меру эмоционально Марек Козак, выпускник Пражской академии исполнительских искусств, исполнил Пятый фортепианный концерт Бетховена, в органичном ансамбле с оркестром Тонхалле, завоевав третью премию. Среди всех конкурсантов его отличал красочный звук, сочные обертоны верхних нот что чрезвычайно сложно достичь на больших концертных роялях , простота и естественность интонаций, чуткость и благородный консерватизм. Причудливые образы, яркий венгерский колорит, пряный танцевальный ритм, особый нерв, свойственный музыке Бартока особенно любимой самим Гезой Андой , казалось, очень под стать пылкому темпераменту пианиста.
Тревельян молод, талантлив и смел; его исполнение сочетает в себе рафинированную пианистическую технику, пронзительную чуткость, пластичную образность, непосредственное, искреннее и одновременно глубокое чувствование музыки - его невероятно интересно слушать. Не случайно именно он вместе со второй премией конкурса собрал максимальное количество специальных призов - приз публики и приз за лучшее исполнение концерта Моцарта с оркестром. К слову, записи трансляций всех туров доступны на YouTube канале конкурса, и оценить дарование этого пианиста как и других участников можно также и по записи сольных программ первых туров.
Завершил конкурсный финал Антон Герценберг с программой Листа: "Пляска смерти" на знаменитый григорианский распев "Dies Irae" прозвучала эпично, героически-мощно, мужественно и в то же время скромно, что свидетельствовало о тонком эстетическом вкусе пианиста. Органичная виртуозность, невозмутимость и сценический контроль Антона Герценберга впечатлили с первых нот, как и кажущаяся легкость в исполнении виртуозно-бравурных октавных пассажей и кульминаций, и трогательная лиричность побочных тем в Первом концерте Листа. Это была игра, покоряющая своей убедительностью и безупречностью.
В сочетании с уверенным выступлением на предыдущих турах все это принесло пианисту победу Первая премия конкурса. И по особой традиции конкурса Гезы Анды, после объявления результатов и вручения призов победитель исполнил произведение на бис: уже в ночном зале, в присутствии всех членов жюри на сцене прозвучал вальс "Муки любви" Крейслера-Рахманинова. Это был особенный, трогательный момент.
Отметим, что, несмотря на состязательную суть, на конкурсе царила очень доброжелательная, поддерживающая атмосфера.
